I’m back folks to finish the project. Here’s where we stand.
I have removed the old stove and prepared the wiring for the new unit. Surprisingly, the previous diary is also posted today.
These are my tools of choice. I am not endorsing these brands over others available. I just like that these tools give me durability and versatility with the work I do professionally. These tools can be rented instead of purchased to accommodate one’s budget for a job such as this.
I marked the counter top with duct tape for two purposes. The line is easy to see and the tape (acting as a guide) will also prevent scarring of the counter top from contact by the tools. The area is ready for the stove.
The stove fit. I tuned on the breaker and everything is working fine. There was one last thing I did.
The space between the oven door and the pull out drawer was where the manufacturer’s handle is located. The wife and I didn’t like it there. We decided to add the furniture handle as an alternative.
There is a gap between the counter and the stove edge that I will fill with something that is waterproof and heat resistant. It is time for a handmade pizza, soon.
I hope you enjoyed this project. The wife is happy. There is something in the works soon (I fix stuff for a living after all). Until then, use all the resources that are available.
