(Boris Johnson uses World War II iconic rhetoric to break up United Kingdom and to create millions of refugees in England and across Europe through the Brexit nightmare!)
Boris Johnson, who incessantly used World War II rhetoric to try to paint the EU as yet another European attempt to take over England, he has set up what he refers to as a Brexit 'war cabinet'.
He has put himself up as the poster boy Brexiteer, head cook and bottle washer isn't just the face of the man who will go down in history as breaking up the union of the United Kingdom by pushing Scotland into claiming independence with Northern Ireland following close behind, both of whom voted to stay in the EU, but are being ripped out of the EU against their will. But he's also considered a traitor to millions of British residents in the UK itself and throughout Europe. I'm not just referring to the 16 million who voted to remain in the EU who reside throughout the UK. I'm referring to a further 5 million people who are British citizens living in the EU and EU citizens living in Britain.

Who is this picture of refugees from the Middle East and North Africa trying to appeal to during the EU referendum / Brexit election for the UK to leave the European Union? What buttons is this iconic imaginary is trying to push and to what end? You decide what is the answer.
The fact is that millions of people today because of Boris Johnson and the Brexiteers, both in the UK and across the European Union are in danger of losing their homes, their jobs, and their possessions, because they could lose the right in the case of Britons to live in EU. In the case of EU citizens living in the UK, these people likewise are also in danger of losing their right of residence under current EU treaties, therein turning potentially up to 5 million people into de facto refugees whose futures are uncertain.
It maybe that some of the EU countries that Britons are living in will take them, based on an immigration residence application but there is no guarantee of that. The number of people who will have to leave because they don’t qualify is unknown.
Therefore the future of too many of these people is uncertain, to say the least. It is clear that too many of them and their families therefore are suffering and living in fear and uncertainty. What is happening is that a human tragedy is unfolding right in front of our eyes. The reason you haven’t heard about it is because it is barely being covered by the US traditional news media. Why do you suppose that is?
Here is My Review of the Video….
Where the great majority of whom even though this affected their lives and in many cases has the power to turn their lives upside down, were for the most part disenfranchised and never provided an opportunity to even vote in the so-called Brexit referendum (which by the way is a non-binding referendum). Now there's democracy at work for you! What this means is for example the 1.5 million British citizens living in the EU in a no-deal Brexit could instantly overnight lose their homes and jobs.
As such you would think that Boris Johnson and his new majority of Conservative Tory Parliamentarians would be reaching out to these people to repatriate them at UK government expense back to the homeland. But you would be sorely mistaken if you thought that, because Boris and his Tories would not allocate a single penny for these people.
No type of assistance at all. In fact the UK and international press barely even cover this subject matter, which is a human tragedy of substantial proportions. Now if this is how they treat their own citizens living in the EU, then I will give you two guesses what EU citizens can expect from Boris and his ilk living in the United Kingdom. To that end I've embedded a selection of videos for your consideration, so as to put a human face on the disaster that this is turning into.
It should be noted because all too often the mainstream press forgets to tell us that this was a non-binding referendum. What does that mean? That means that it was a referendum for consultation only, it had no legal force. That is very important because many of the tactics employed in the referendum by the Brexiteer ilk, the question is was some of the tactics they employed in fact illegal? But here's another question in a non-binding referendum that is to say as the referendum itself had no legal force associated with it, why weren't all British citizens invited to vote, even the ones who had lived abroad for a number of years. Now obviously the case can be made although it is a stupid case, that people living abroad shouldn't be able to vote in matters of local UK domestic politics, even if they are UK citizens themselves.
The problem with that argument is that the UK citizens living abroad in the EU are the very people most affected by Brexit. So it seems perfectly reasonable for them to have a vote, particularly as their vote is only advisory in the matter of a non-binding referendum. As the Brexiteers only won that non-binding vote by about 2% isn't it reasonable to believe if UK citizens living in the EU were allowed to vote as there are 1.5 million of them, this would have changed the outcome of that referendum. Who is talking about that? Well no one outside of this article that's for sure that I've been able to find any articles that referenced that subject matter. Why do you suppose that is?
The EU is quite concerned about this, as in evidence by the former Belgian Prime Minister turned EU MEP Guy Verhofstadt said, Quote: “Everyone presumes the European Parliament will give automatically its consent to the Withdrawal Agreement. Not if the remaining problems with the citizens' rights are not solved first.”
https://www.theparliamentmagazine.eu/articles/news/guy-verhofstadt-citizens%E2%80%99-rights-issues-must-be-resolved-brexit
So while the EU is quite concerned about this, many of the 27 EU member states seem to be less concerned, because they expect British citizens to apply after a no deal Brexit in a matter of months or in the event of a transition period deal by December 2020, for immigration, work and residence permits, where there is no guarantee they would be granted. So that it is really anyone's guess what can happen here, because there will be no uniformity across the 27 member states across the EU. They will be allowed to each impose their own immigration laws and rules.
This is therewith clearly a huge human tragedy, wherein millions of people are basically in danger of overnight or within a transition period of months, having their entire lives turned upside down, in effect being turned into British refugees on the soil of the European Union, who are being turned into refugees by the Brexiteers' war on the European Union. If you think that's an exaggeration I invite you to watch the embedded video, which makes plain that the World War II omnipresent rhetoric is still a huge part of the English identity emanating from a time of empire. So it is that the various myths of wartime England and the longing for the English lost empire through its rhetoric found its way into the Brexit debate. We have to remember this was an empire on which the sun literally never set, which ruled at one time over at least half a billion people. So this goes well beyond the historically repressed nations of Scotland and Northern Ireland, as it literally incorporated a quarter of all of the land mass on earth at one time.
So it is that England's World War II identity crisis was turned lose on the Brexit debate by these people affectionately known as Brexiteers, who seem never to miss an opportunity to invoke the name of Winston Churchill.
His image as a national icon was co-opted into the Brexiteer debates invoking aspirations of a can do spirit of freedom. Of course we know that many historians have since labeled Churchill a white supremacist who is responsible for the Bengal famine during World War II, which saw the death of 3 million British subjects on the Indian Subcontinent.
The connection that is made is that as an island nation England bravely stood alone against Nazi tyranny. So it is that this iconic imagery was co-opted by Boris Johnson and the Brexiteer crowd as a small island nation, which has stood up for freedom again as a small island nation against the tyranny of Brussels, as personified through the EU. Of course we know that England as an island nation didn't stand up alone against Nazi tyranny they had the entire British empire with millions of its soldiers behind them. So that millions of soldiers across the British empire fought to protect the English homeland. So what's happened is that people were being manipulated with iconic historical rhetoric and imagery to rail against the European Union.
Of course all of this is a complete distortion, where a small number of very rich people living in England decided that they could get a whole lot richer in their own personal narrow interest if only they could leave the EU. They didn't care that it would break up the union and hurt millions of people and Europe, and in England itself, because they are quite happy to bankrupt England provided that in the process thereof they're able to make themselves and their friends a whole lot richer. So the millions of people hurt and in fact the 1.5 million British citizens living in Europe, who are under threat of being turned into political refugees of Brexit as previously described just didn't matter.
So if you can imagine here are millions of people in Britain and on the European Continent actually close to 5 million of them who believe in the EU project, left home, family and friends and started new lives, new businesses, built new homes, believing they would have their citizen's rights protected, only to be left in a dark vacuum of uncertainty unable to claim refugee status anywhere from the Brexit wars laden with World War II rhetoric, stranded in foreign countries where their rights are either uncertain or non-existent, where they are threatened by loss of their jobs, threatened by loss of their homes and chattel. All just because a small group of people in England who were very rich decided they could get a whole lot richer, and found a group of politicians led by Boris Johnson, who are sure to help them get there. It is a compelling epic strategy, really akin to a Greek tragedy in its elements.
It has everything in it, victims, heroes, betrayal and tragedy and of course with the historic break up of the United Kingdom's union through the Scotland independence movement, whose population voted to stay in the EU, who are a historically oppressed people, just like the Northern Irish people, who Boris Johnson intends to separate from the rest of England by putting a border down the Irish Sea to get around the Back-Stop issue, which in America would be unimaginable and illegal. Could you imagine Congress making a law to put a border around California for example, border fence so as to wall it off from the rest of the US without asking the people in California who are now in the process of being put in a different country. Add to that a press in Britain chucked full of World War II rhetoric adopted by their Brexiteer patrons, and you have the circus type atmosphere which will go down in the history books as Brexit.
The video clearly sets out the Brexiteer rhetoric of wartime Britain being co-opted by Boris Johnson and his hardline far right Brexiteer base, wherein Winston Churchill as an iconic image continues to be conjured up. Where Boris Johnson and the other Brexiteer warlords essentially try to galvanize the English public in a fight for independence, this time from 2019 Brussels instead of 1939 Berlin, wherein the British media in a constant barrage again and again displays iconic imagery of the fight for freedom by the valiant resistance of the English public with the battle cry of 'we will take our country back.' 'We want our country back the way it was,' to shouts and applause of freedom being played by the accompanying melody of God save the Queen.
If you think this is an exaggeration which you may well think, if you're not exposed to the daily grind of the drip, drip, drip of the British media. The obvious conclusion that any fair minded person would have to come to is that what is playing itself out is a masterful and quite insidious propaganda campaign of the type that Edward Bernay that is, the nephew of Sigmund Freud who is credited with being the inventor of modern day media propaganda would be proud of.
