As House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was exiting her Thursday press conference, a reporter for the conservative Sinclair Broadcasting Group tossed a final question her way: “Do you hate the president, Madam Speaker?” Pelosi literally stopped in her tracks and turned on a dime to address the reporter directly.
“I don’t hate anybody,” she said, wagging her finger at him, “not anyone in the world.” Pelosi then returned to the podium so everyone could hear what she had to say on the matter. After listing a number of political grievances she has with Donald Trump, she brushed them off, saying, “However, that’s about the election.” Drawing a contrast between the election and impeachment, Pelosi continued, “This is about the Constitution of the United States … and as a Catholic, I resent you using the word 'hate' in a sentence that addresses me.”
It is yet another Pelosi viral moment in the making. Watch it below from two different angles, because once is never enough.
