At the Cobb County Courier we usually only cover Cobb-specific news, but since the immigrant population in the county has increased sharply over the past few years, and the county’s relationship with ICE has been a subject of much scrutiny and protest, we’ve expanded our scope on immigration.

According to TRAC, despite the Trump administration’s increased enforcement, and despite their justification that the policies keep criminals off the street the number of detainees with serious criminal convictions has dropped under Trump while the number of detainees with minor infractions or no infractions at all has increased.
