‘Acting’ Attorney General Matt Whitaker testified in front of the House Judiciary Committee on Friday, February 8. Testified being a relative term here, mostly he hemmed and hawed, drank gallons of water, stalled for time, and tried to dodge questions to the best of his limited abilities. Then he went to the Trump hotel for an attaboy.
While the Republican Ranking member Doug Collins wondered why they were wasting time on this farce instead of investigating Hillary’s emails again, HJC Chairman Jerry Nadler and the Dems on the committee were less than impressed. In fact, they were quite interested in talking to Whitaker again. Chairman Nadler even told him that they would be seeing him again, under subpoena if necessary, and that he would be answering the relevant questions next time. That time is coming.
Today, Chairman Nadler sent Matt Whitaker another letter. He wants to schedule another meeting with the committee for some clarifications on his previous testimony, and also some follow up questions.

I don’t think that Whitaker is going to have quite as much fun at this next meeting. He is probably sweating already.
