Have you been watching Nancy Pelosi? Because, I want to tell you … Wait. Just how are you watching Nancy Pelosi? Are you watching the speech? Didn’t we tell you not to watch the speech? Please report to your neighborhood decontamination station. Or send a contribution to your favorite Democratic candidate—that works, too.
Trump calls out Democrats as cruel cowards. There’s that bipartisanship you know and love.
Trump claims that “almost all MS-13 come through out southern border.” Which isn’t just not true, it’s been repeatedly shown to be a big fat lie.
Now we’ve reached the be afraid, be really, really afraid part of the speech, in which Trump scours the country for people hurt by immigrants.

Trump still telling immigrant horror stories. Talking about the “heroes” of ICE. Somehow fails to tell any stories of them taking parents away at children’s bus stops or setting up traps that separate families.
Trump claims that “most of the people in this room voted for a wall, but the proper wall never got built.”
Which is a lie. And another lie.
“A strategic see-through steel barrier.” Someone is missing a big bet by not selling Trump on an invisible force field.
I hate to say this folks, but we’re not even halfway through this speech. Not even close to halfway through this speech.
Please check your exposure badges. It’s very possible you’ve already exceeded your lifetime dose.
We’ve bounced from the wall, back to bragging. Trump likes the bragging, because he gets a thirty second break after every statement for GOP clapping.
Donald Trump just apparently took credit for there being more women in Congress than at any time before …
And you know what? He’s right. Trump single-handedly disqualified an entire gender.
Trump falsely said El Paso "used to have extremely high rates of violent crime -- one of the highest in the entire country," but now it is "one of the safest cities" because of a border wall. In fact, it was already among the safest cities before wall. https://t.co/tSRqak1WPY— FactCheck.org (@factcheckdotorg) February 6, 2019

Trump now bragging on how the Treasury is receiving “billions and billions of dollars” because of his tariffs. Doesn’t mention that money comes from American consumers.
Lots, and lots, and lots of trade claims .,, the same ones he’s made before. All of which are false.
Infrastructure gets a shout out. Say, is it infrastructure week again?
And … infrastructure is over. Back to bragging.
Weird to see half the chamber all white, and then the Democrats on the other side.— Kevin M. Kruse (@KevinMKruse) February 6, 2019
Weird to see half the chamber all white, and then the Democrats on the other side.
Since Trump finished the opening section, the entire speech has been made one, very, very, slow, sentence, at, at, time, with, each, of them, accompanied, by, long, pauses, for Republican, applause.
Trump takes credit for curing AIDS. So … that’s done.
And here we go for thread number four.
New thread here.
