I wrote about it once, six days after the inauguration. I wrote about it again, a year later. I mention it in comments fairly frequently because I want people to understand the man so they have a better idea of what we are dealing with.
Now, prompted by a tweet from George “Dispatches from the Guestroom Futon” Conway, viz:
...Jimmy Kimmel demonstrates it with video clips.
(Skip to 1:32 if you want to avoid Kellyanne Conway blathering and go straight to the NPD part.)
Scientific? Well, hardly. He’s only got minutes on his show, not enough for a full treatment. But look at each criterion and the behaviour it specifies, and try to think of a time when T***p displayed it. Or multiple times. You’ll have no trouble at all.
Likewise the corporate media shouldn’t, either. If they don’t want to say it themselves due to lack of qualifications, they can always call in mental-health professionals to say it in interviews. They’d have no problem finding them. When I wrote that first diary, several agreed with me in the comments. And The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump was written by a passel of them.
But the MSM shies away from it, instead continuing their campaign of normalization.
In the court of the tyrannical king, it is said, only the jester is free to tell the truth. Not what should be happening in a democracy in the 21st Century, especially a country that has long claimed to be a champion of democracy. But we’ve seen it before. Remember GWB and Jon Stewart?
Perhaps the late-night jesters will poke the “serious” newspeople into being honest and accurate enough to bring NPD and other possible mental illnesses into the news discourse about the president, if enough of them point out that the Emperor has no clothes, or more precisely, the would-be Emperor is a certain kind of nutcase. We can debate all we like over which kind: what is crucial is the deadly commonalities between the kinds we debate over.
This needs to become part of the public discourse.

If you’d like to help keep it economically feasible for me to do stories like this on DKos, please consider sending a donation my way… suggested amount $3. Now in particular would be appreciated even more than usual as, due to a confluence of circumstances, I’m sweating over paying for all of this month’s bills. THANK YOU to all who have contributed already. Your generosity humbles me.
