Didn’t even have to think about it — the words were out of my mouth before I even knew I’d thought them. I meant it it terms of “My job as a US citizen.” of course (and it is — the First Amendment says so...) but given my track record as a recruiter, I think it’s safe to say it’s still pretty much just my job. Hopefully that will change.
Among the rainbow of graces the President lacks, I consider dignity one of the most important for the office and thus one of the most conspicuous in its absence. I’m guessing his supporters couldn't possibly understand this, so I think this (one of several I put up in the Bay Area) counts as a dog whistle.
This one’s a bit less dog-whistley.
This is pretty funny. I was looking at this picture of the Release the Full Report sign and noticed an Impeach sign I’d put up WEEKS before. That’s after at least four rainstorms and 135,000 cars per day. Cardboard people… cardboard is amazing. Cardboard will save us.
This is the most important issue to be raising right now, and it has to come from us. We the People.
Same strategy as Rohnert Park, both sites providing convenient (for me anyway,) after-exit posting opportunities thanks to Park-n-Ride lots. Keep an eye out for these.
I hate to bother y’all with this, but it’s important to me. I just found out a Greenpeace canvasser cheated me and made a fifty-dollar check a monthly donation. He did this on purpose as I’d specifically told him it wasn’t a monthly donation, and I even apologized for it. I explained this to Greenpeace and they understood, but because I’d signed a membership form agreeing to monthly donations (although the amount and bank account information was blank) that they were legally entitled to the money and would therefore be keeping it. (A trick,I presume, that they learned from the Japanese whaling industry.)
I got my start as an activist by working for Greenpeace, and I’ve got to admit this hit me harder than I thought - like being punched in the gut by a friend, if you want to know the truth of it - and it really made me wonder what the hell it is I’m fighting for. Keeping money that wasn’t meant for you just because you can is, to use a legal term, “wrong.” And doing it to the guy who put up hundreds of climate change and Save the Arctic signs on freeways seems especially wrong in Greenpeace’s case.
Anyway, I’m gonna fight this one (and Oh Boy am I…) but it’d really help to get a vote of confidence from you here. The amount in question is $3,150.00.
