Last week, rabidly pro-Trump troll Jacob Wohl literally talked himself into a ban from Twitter when he boldly told USA Today that he planned to create an army of fake Facebook and Twitter accounts ahead of the 2020 election.
That same USA Today story also revealed that the woman whom Wohl claimed accused Robert Mueller of sexually assaulting her claims that Wohl tricked her into the scheme. If true, at the very least Wohl could be facing a whopper of a civil suit, and possibly charges of wire fraud. At least one other woman who reached out to his bogus private eye firm, Surefire Intelligence, has said that Wohl swindled her.
With the FBI investigating the Surefire Intelligence fiasco, Wohl could potentially be staring down the barrel of hard time. He’s also looking at having whatever is left of his reputation completely destroyed at the tender age of 21. Remember, he was banned from futures trading for life in 2017 for deceiving investors—making him the youngest person person to ever be banned from the futures industry.
I wondered how someone could be such a jerk at such a young age. But it turns out he has a really poor role model—his father, David.
Wohl père piqued my interest on Sunday, when he posted this reply to Trump quoting anti-vaxxer congressman Mark Green’s swipe at the Cohen testimony.
Well, that’s interesting. What does David call what his son tried to do to Mueller?
But then again, his Twitter bio offers an explanation for why David’s moral compass is so warped.
Wow. He’s actually “proud” of raising a man who has been proven to be a fraudster. He’s actually “proud” of a man who boasted about his plans to create botfarms. He’s actually “proud” of a man who tried to orchestrate an outrageous and politically motivated frame-up of Mueller.
Apparently David tried to put action behind his pride in his son. When Jacob was investigated by the National Futures Association for his fraudulent activity, David actually threatened to have the NFA examiners arrested if they tried to meet with his son, and also threatened to sue them for harassment. Indeed, the NFA specifically banned Wohl from the futures industry for his refusal to cooperate with the investigation.
And David Wohl is saying he’s “proud” of this? To my mind, he’s effectively announcing in capital letters that he is a manifestly unfit father. So it makes sense that he's all-in for Trump. After all, Trump, like David Wohl, has proven himself to be an abject failure as a father.
