Brexit, Anyone?
Oh the Union of Europe
Is not our cup of tea.
We’re the British and we’re loyal
To her Royal Majesty.
Life there on the continent
Is far too jolly fun,
So let’s have another cuppa, and
Brexit, anyone?
The EU’s dense bureaucracy
Is, oh, so dull and droll
We have our own bureaucracy
With paperwork and all.
We like when things are difficult
And little ‘ere gets done,
So let’s have another cuppa, and
Brexit, anyone?
All those immigrants in Europe
Are manky as can be.
Their foreign ways have stirred up
Such animosity.
They’re slipping through our borders
Forever on the run,
But let’s have another cuppa, and
Brexit, anyone?
The youngsters on our island
Don’t want to isolate.
They like the global movement,
Free trade on every plate.
They’re piping up about it now
Though it’s a trifle late,
So let’s have another cuppa, and
Brexit, anyone?
While politics in Europe
Drag on day after day,
We have ourselves a crackerjack
She’s called Theresa May.
Yet we’ll muddle through together,
We’re bound to find a way.
So let’s have another cuppa, and
Brexit, anyone?
