The Great Orange Excrement issued his second veto of his administration tonight on the bipartisan Congressional resolution to end U.S. military support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen.
The resolution invoked the War Powers Act in an effort to distance the United States from a four-year conflict that has killed thousands of civilians and resulted in a widespread famine. The measure was a rebuke of Mr. Trump’s support for Saudi Arabia despite the killing of the dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a Virginia resident.
“This resolution is an unnecessary, dangerous attempt to weaken my constitutional authorities, endangering the lives of American citizens and brave service members, both today and in the future,” Mr. Trump said in his veto message.
Is Trump doing this out of his personal financial interests? We should check his tax returns and his business records to find out. Oh, wait...How silly of me! We don't know any of that. But, when does Trump do anything that is not favorable to his personal finances? I know one thing. He doesn’t give a damn about the "lives of American citizens and brave service members, both today and in the future.” So we must proceed with the death, destruction, the starvation of children for the Squatter.
