OK, I hate to be on the receiving end of a request for help, but I am just plain at my wits’ end and do not know what else to do.
I live way out in the boonies in Wake County, North Carolina...because I cannot afford to live closer in where all the job opportunity is. Where I live a car is a necessity, because for me, the nearest bus stop is seven miles away. I drive an eighteen year old car that is now having transmission trouble.
What I need are a few things...first, I need money. And I hate to ask. But I did start a GoFundMe — HERE The goal for the GoFundMe is $5000, but my remaining goal here is $690. I have already gotten some help, and I do have a little of my own to put into this.
The second thing I need is for anyone out there who has a decent older car (about ten years old is the right age range, as then I won’t have to carry extra insurance) — I need someone with a car like that...who is looking to get a newer car...to sell it to me, instead of trading in...sell it to me for what the dealer would give you on trade-in. Cut out the middle man...who would pretty it up and tack 3-4 thousand dollars onto the price of what he gave you for your trade in. The only requirement I have there is that it has to be automatic, because I cannot drive stick.
The third thing I need is two–fold:
a. leads for part-time employment in the Raleigh, NC area and/or
b. an additional doctor or two to become a client of my billing and coding business. Is there a doctor in the house?? I currently have a small income from a home-based medical billing and coding company with just one client.
Please help in any of these ways, and thanks for reading.
NOTE: A friend in Pennsylvania may have located a car for me...but I would have to go to Pennsylvania to get it. Between what I have so far raised, plus what I have of my own...if I could manage to meet the goal here at Daily KO’s (remaining on goal here $690) I would almost have what I need to swing this deal.
Also, am attending a Job Fair on Apr. 12 — with an organization called Dress For Success. I went through their ten-week program previously, and graduated with about 60 other women. Am hopeful that some part-time work may develop from that — so I am working what I can on my end!
A reliable car is essential for going to interviews and any subsequent work...so appreciate any help!
