They won’t? Even when Donald Trump voluntarily releases them after his “audit” is over?
The Hill:
Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said Sunday that Democrats will "never" see President Trump's tax returns.
"Nor should they. That’s an issue that was already litigated during the election. Voters knew the president could have given his tax returns, they knew that he didn’t, and they elected him anyway," Mulvaney said during an appearance on "Fox News Sunday."
He added that Democrats "know they're not going to" get the tax returns.
"They just want attention on the issue because they don’t want to talk to us about policy," he said.
Can we at least find out if Trump is really under audit, because I’m starting to think that’s bullshit. Just a hunch.
It’s amazing how many documents that totally exonerate our pr*sident shouldn’t be seen by the American public. And “during the election” Trump said numerous times that he’d eventually release his returns, so he’s continuing to break that promise.
Maybe the IRS can fax his returns to my doomsday prepper bunker as I pour fresh barn cat milk on my Kashi Iodine Crunch. At least I’ll feel slightly vindicated as my scurfy, irradiated skin molts off my endoskeleton.
But by all means, continue to play keep-away with the evidence that our pr*sident is a dangerously incompetent cartoon supervillain. Thanks, Mick. I mean, you’re only on record calling Trump a “terrible human being.” But, hey, now you have a job to do. Hope it feels good.
