Just wanted to share a few very simple campaign strategies for Democrats and see what the kos folks think:
1) In parts of the country where folks are still scared of the word “socialism” or even “democratic socialism” use the term “socially-conscious capitalism”.
Conscious capitalism is defined as an emerging economic system that “builds on the foundations of capitalism—voluntary exchange, entrepreneurship, competition, freedom to trade and the rule of law. These are essential to a healthy functioning economy, as are other elements of conscious capitalism including trust, compassion, collaboration, and value creation.
Conscious capitalism is ethically grounded free enterprise.
2) Use a “wide and deep” — “Bernie and Beto” campaigning strategy:
“Wide” as in 50 state-wide: campaign everywhere and anywhere. Bring your message to red states which may not be aware of the Democratic message — go into the bubble, make your message heard.
“Deep” as in both urban and rural areas: dont be afraid to campaign in small town rural areas like Beto.
You may not win those red towns or House seats but peeling off some of those voters can swing Senate races.
