In September 1998, prurient Javert Kenneth Starr released the Starr Report. It was sent directly to Congress and two days later to everyone. There were no redactions, despite requests by Congressmen like Jerry Nadler to omit non-material salacious details. For Starr, every cigar and stained dress was material. A few months later, the Starr Report was the basis for impeachment.
Nadler’s 1998 request is now being used as alleged evidence of his hypocrisy, because he wants release of the full Mueller Report. The obvious falsity of this has not deterred Fox et al from pounding it relentlessly, and I’ll bet there are millions who take it as gospel.
What is not being pounded relentlessly is the truth —
The Starr Report was released to Congress and the public in full,
The Mueller Report has not been released at all.
There are many examples of double standards for Democrats, but this one is so obvious it needs to be shouted from the rooftops every day. (certainly, the MSM won’t.).
Of course, actual hypocrisy comes naturally to Starr, who now very gravely intones against Mueller disclosure. Not enough sex I guess.
But double standards are the default for Democrats. For example, my diary
Comey: HRC may be innocent but she's guilty
Barr: Trump may be guilty but he's innocent
pointed out the, let’s say, “contrasting,” “roll-outs” of Hillary’s actual exoneration and Trump’s non-exoneration.
Don’t let them get away with this:
The Starr Report was released to Congress and the public in full,
The Mueller Report has not been released at all.
