Good evening.
I am going to share a widely shared story from one of the social media bastions. I have no information about who may have originally composed it, so I have not asked permission to share it. I know of no one TO ask.
But, in a way I do know something of the person sharing. It is a person of good intention. It is a person who seeks to help. It is a person who helps without fixation on CREDIT for the helping. It is in that spirit, then, that I share it. Of course, if anyone claiming credit for the original composition asks me to take it down, it will be gone just that fast. #butyouandiknowitisntgoingtohappen The individual even asked that it be shared! So be it!

It begins with a story about a woman speaking to a seller of eggs at a market.
She asked him, 'How much are you selling the eggs for?'
The old seller replied, '$.25 an egg, Madam.'
She said to him, 'I will take 6 eggs for $1.25 or I will leave.'
The old seller replied, 'Come take them at the price you want. Maybe, this is a good beginning because I have not been able to sell even a single egg today.'
She took the eggs and walked away feeling she has won. She got into her fancy car and went to a posh restaurant with her friend. There, she and her friend, ordered whatever they liked. They ate a little and left a lot of what they ordered. Then she went to pay the bill. The bill costed her $45.00. She gave $50.00 and asked the owner of the restaurant to keep the change.
This incident might have seemed quite normal to the owner but, very painful to the poor egg seller.
The point is,
Why do we always show we have the power when we buy from the needy ones? And why do we get generous to those who do not even need our generosity?
I once read somewhere:
'My father used to buy simple goods from poor people at high prices, even though he did not need them. Sometimes he even used to pay extra for them. I got concerned by this act and asked him why does he do so? Then my father replied, "It is a charity wrapped with dignity, my child”
I know most of you won't share this message but if you feel that people need to see this, then do spread this message.
Hah. A $5 ‘tip’ on a $45 tab isn’t my definition of ‘generous,’ but oh well. Too, I don’t believe that the exchange was painful for the egg seller. I think that that person chose to look on the bright side of the exchange, even CALLING it a ‘good beginning.’ That is optimism, that is a person not confounded by expectations of big sales or big success. I applaud the egg seller, someone I would much more happily take as a friend than the woman in the story.’’
The second story pleased me more. Buying at prices the buyer intentionally inflated, to honor the dignity of other people, with true helpful intent.
At the same social media session as the above, I read a posting by Connie Schultz. (Yes, THE Connie Schultz!) She was reaming Franklin Graham for his unconscionable attack on Pete Buttegieg. Her comment was this:
Thus illustrating the difference between a champion for Christ and a bully for Jesus. Again, I think of my mother’s words: “Being a Christian means fixing yourself and helping others, not the other way around.”
Champion for Christ v. Bully for Jesus! Excellent framing, indeed! Applause, Connie Schultz! Very well said, indeed!

In Meteor Blades' Abbreviated Pundit Roundup, gchaucer2 had an apt description of this "administration".
From brillig:
While I want to be clear I am not jumping on any candidate’s bandwagon yet, I think this thread started by Rich in PA, continued by skyounkin and brought home by tallen387 is applicable to any candidate discussing Actual Plans. From Walter Einenkel’s Sen. Elizabeth Warren puts forward comprehensive plan to relieve Puerto Rico's crippling debt.
