"This is a moment in time where anyone who professes to be a leader has got to fight for the importance of restoring truth and justice in our country." KH
Surrounded by “Justice For the People” signs and banners, Kamala was greeted by thunderous applause as she took the stage yesterday at Los Angeles Southwest College. A diverse and very excited crowd was treated to what we’ve come to expect — a stump speech that connects with the audience resulting in several standing ovations. She delivered some of her most direct words aimed at this corrupt administration, and Kamala has added Equal Pay For Women to her Truth and Justice campaign.
“We have 20 Veterans who die each day from suicide, and they want to privatize the VA and start a war with Iran.” Kamala Harris
And as promised, today Kamala unveiled her ambitious Equal Pay Plan:
In America today, women who work full time are paid just 80 cents, on average, for every dollar paid to men. For Latinas it’s 53 cents, for Native American women it’s 58 cents, and for Black women it’s 61 cents. All that money adds up to more than $400,000 over the course of a woman’s career, and more than $1 million for Latinas, Native American women, and Black women.
It’s not right that young women need to work more hours to pay off their student debt. It’s not right that new mothers are penalized for taking time off to care for their children. It’s not right that women retirees have less security and accumulated wealth after working their entire careers. It’s not right that the wage gap has barely budged this entire century.
It’s not right, and it needs to change.
For too long, we’ve put the burden entirely on workers to hold corporations accountable for pay discrimination through costly lawsuits that are increasingly difficult to prove. We’ve let corporations hide their wage gaps, but forced women to stand up in court just to get the pay they’ve earned. It’s time to flip the script and finally hold corporations accountable for pay inequality in America.
Kamala Harris has a simple message for corporations: Pay women fairly or pay the price.

Group Guidelines
The Kamala2020 community group has been created to positively support Senator Kamala Harris, and not to engage in negativity towards other community members or any other Democrats running in the 2020 primaries.
All should be made to feel welcomed here. What’s not welcomed here is petty bickering over any of our preferred candidates, or personal attacks on fellow Democrats. We’re not responsible for the actions of others who may offend, insult or attempt to sow discord and disunity — that’s on them.
What we are responsible for are our own words and actions — that’s 100% on us.
I’d like to ask all group members, as well as those dropping by who support or are interested in Kamala’s bid for the nomination, that we not respond to negativity from other campaign’s supporters with negativity. Let’s do better than our best and respond with respect, humor or try to hold our peace. Doing no harm costs us nothing... pie-fights will cost us everything.
Let’s have another good day together with our growing group of Kossacks For Kamala 2020 😃
💙Hope everyone has a great Monday 💙
