The UK just had their local elections today, and boy was it a doozy for the Conservatives:
The Sun says GRAND SLAM: Local elections 2019: Election wipeout for Tories as they lose more than a THOUSAND councillors – far worse than May feared
BBC: Local elections: Conservatives lose more than 1,300 councillors
Now I had to go looking for the significance of the UK Local Councils — so I pulled up Wikipedia where it outlined that “Councils have historically had no split between executiveand legislature. Functions are vested in the council itself, and then exercised usually by committees or subcommittees of the council.”
So the UKIP (racist party) lost bigly (-145 seats), and so did the Conservatives (biggest loss since 1995 for any party with -1334 seats). Labour didn’t do swell either (-82 seats). So who won? Lib Dems (+703 seats) Greens (+185 seats) and various other non-aligned regional parties (+612).
Of course the Conservatives/Tories are saying UK wants to “get on with Brexit” — with the dramatic UKIP loss, it’s pretty clear (at least to me) that UK voters want more to “get off Brexit” than to get on with it.

Holy shit, the “UKIP” lost 82%, the Lib Dems doubled and the Greens almost quadrupled.
Also, “Others” did quite well, it would be interesting to now what that consists of.
