In 2014 Republican talk radio worked hard to conjure up an American ebola outbreak that they could blame on President Obama and Democrats, basically for trying to stop the disease in Africa. Here’s a piece on that event from Oct 12, 2014:
Ebola Is Not Spread By Air — But Ebola Panic Is: Just Listen to Rush Limbaugh’s Radio Program
In 2014 that was mixed with regular warnings that ‘illegal aliens’ with contagious diseases were sneaking across the border and Democrats were letting those immigrant kids go to American schools — to infect your kids.
Democrats need to make sure Republicans aren’t going to do it again. This time it plays into Trump’s anti immigration hysteria and is perfect not only for piggybacking by Kremlin troll operations. It may even be something Putin would help facilitate and amplify.
Consider:
— RW radio is talking about Africans joining the caravans to cross the southern border from Mexico.
— Immigrant detention facilities are severely overcrowded. Purposefully, in hope of some kind of outbreak?
— Ebola clinics are being attacked in the Congo. Who is doing the attacking? Americans need to consider that the attacks might be encouraged/directed/sponsored by sources outside the Congo.
When Republicans want to scare, motivate, and outrage their base and the American public in general they feed it to Limbaugh and pretty soon the message is being repeated on 1500 radio stations.
Add to that some Kremlin callers to RW talk radio, social media, internet, etc.
Democratic politicians and the intelligence community needs to consider the possibility. Republicans are very predictable if you listen to some of their talk radio. The ebola outbreak is a growing problem in Africa and if Republican talk radio starts talking more and more about immigrants with contagious diseases and Africans coming across the southern border you can bet that’s one of the options they’re going to hype when they really need some distraction.
How artificial intelligence and the advertising industry can be used to destroy Republican talk radio
