In Part One, we began an expose to explain the rationale why we are certain Mr. Trump will not be re-elected. Let’s take a look at the analysis which gives our crew confidence Donald Trump cannot, will not win in 2020.
Republicans in general, Trump’s fanatics in particular salivate over the idea of Trump’s re-election. In fact, in the Republican circle, it is believed it should be a breeze for Mr. Trump to secure a second term.
I think not!
I call the 2020 presidential race. It goes to the Democratic Party, the nominee of which is yet to be determined.
Remark: This early declaration of a winner is based EXCLUSIVELY on the premise that Donald Trump will again be the Republican nominee (Watch this space to find out why Mr. Trump may not even seek re-election)
Note: This is part three of a multi-part article which looks into the rationale why we have come to the conclusion that the path for Donald Trump’s re-election is not just narrow or shrinking but it has already closed, despite belief to the contrary, despite hope in the Trump’s camp it might happen and despite polls showing his approval rating has not budged much, if at all. Here, at the People Branch, we are fairly confident our analysis is right on point.
In 2016, Trump (and everyone else on the planet) didn’t expect him to win but he did. In 2020, Trump, his henchmen, his minions and everyone who supports him will move heaven and earth to help him win; he will not.
Trumpublicans, the Honeymoon Is Almost Over! The Bar(r) – pun intended - has been set so low (see above) and yet Donald Trump is unable to clear it. It’s beginning to sink in for millions who voted him in office that no matter how much time Mr. Trump is allotted, he will continue to demand that the bar be set even lower.
Trumpeteers! All the angels in heaven (working with all the devils in hell) cannot help Donald Trump get re-elected in 2020. Not in this lifetime!
Below we continue with the bulleted points to explain our reasoning behind the confidence we have that Donald J. Trump will not be re-elected. (read Part One and Part Two for context)
5.- The Mueller’s Report is still unfolding
All American patriots have already witnessed enough of the bad behavior of the individual in the Oval Office to want him out, dragged out if necessary. Despite having appointed William Barr as AG to protect him from legal jeopardy – a task Mr. Barr has voluntarily and willingly exercised, shamefully – Mr. Trump’s legal exposure has increased exponentially after Barr’s performance in regards to the Mueller’s report.
Even the redacted document released to the public contains damning evidence of Trump’s incompetence, collaboration with a foreign government and continuous effort to obstruct the investigation. Notwithstanding the fact that Donald Trump is so far more protected by the Democrat Leadership – mainly Nancy Pelosi – than he can possibly be by refusing to turn in documents requested by the various Congressional Committees, the chorus for impeachment is getting louder and louder.
If and when the un-redacted version of the report and the underlying documents are turned in to the Congressional committees, the evidence will prove more damning and Mr. Trump may find himself cornered. Once impeachment proceeding has begun, the Executive Branch will no longer be in a position to reject documents’ requests. Translation: everything that is now hidden will be exposed publicly during Congressional hearings. So much for total exoneration! As of the latest update, Robert Mueller, in a 9 minutes statement to the media said in no ambiguous terms that Donald J. Trump, the 45th president of the United States committed obstruction of justice, a crime which warrants his impeachment. The damages which may be caused by that bombshell will not be known until the dust is settled. Stay tuned!
6.- The Electoral College Map is not favorable
Donald Trump won the Electoral College votes (304 to Hillary 227) but lost the popular votes by more than 3 million to Hillary Clinton, one of the most hated politicians in America. And even in places where Mr. Trump won over Hillary, the margins were in the single digit, some negligible. Take a look at the following 2016 outcomes in states which gave Mr. Trump advantage over Hillary and consider which ones Trump could possibly expect to win in 2020 facing anyone but Hillary. The numbers on the far right are the Electoral College votes the winner collects. Even Trump's hardcore supporters should already begin to read the writing on the wall. As mentioned earlier, the path for Trump’s re-election has been completely closed. It is not at all out of question for Trump to walk away from it all. Stay tuned!
Watch this space for the conclusion in which we will continue to advance the argument why we believe Mr. Trump cannot and will not be re-elected and also explore the possibility that Donald Trump may even forego the idea altogether.
