Low stamina Donald Trump is likely to do go down as the laziest president in history. From opting to use a golf cart instead of taking short walks with world leaders at public events to not showing up for work until mid-to-late morning, he seems to be phoning it in most of the time. Here’s a crystal clear example of both his laziness and his phoniness. Both were on display during an appearance at a Virginia megachurch, where his handlers said he was there to pray for the families of the twelve people murdered in Virginia Beach. Except, he was nowhere near Virginia Beach, which is located in southern Virginia. Despite being the same state, Trump went to northern Virginia, opting to visit the one megachurch that was on the way back to the White House from his private golf club, which was conveniently located right on the same highway. He could not even be bothered to visit Virginia Beach after Friday’s mass shooting, a mere 200 miles from the White House.
Many on Twitter, including our own David Waldman (KagroX), noted it was abundantly clear why he chose this church.
In fact, the laziest president in history, couldn’t even bother to wear a proper suit to the visit, instead opting to show up in full golf attire, cleated shoes and all.
Instead of speaking to the congregation, Trump stood by silently as the pastor led a prayer for Donald Trump, who then oddly left the stage and went back on his way to the White House. No mention of the people murdered only 48 hours prior. In the same state. No words to comfort and soothe a mourning nation.
Watch and take note of the women behind him who seem to be sitting on their hands and refusing to clap. We see you, ladies—we feel you.
At least he eventually removed his hat, right? When he did, yowza—many found him looking quite different than he normally does.
And that was a wrap. Trump shook hands, patted himself on the back for stepping his cleated foot into a church and then went on his way. It’s absolutely incredible self-identified evangelicals stand with and behind this con man. For far too many of them, their values appear to be just as phony as Trump’s tan.
For the evangelicals who support this charlatan, thoughts and prayers.
