Veritas Per Ficta!
CNS was the first to bring you an exclusive on Trump’s plans for the 4th of July back in February when he sent out his invitation by tweet to hold the date. Military on display galore - spectacular military aircraft fly overs, barges of war machines, tanks and missiles, all floated down the Potomac, a gargantuan fireworks display at night, and most importantly an address to the nation from “your favorite President, me”.
Well, things have changed, somewhat pared down, but it’s still going to feature fly overs and tanks, along with the fireworks and his speech - Trump insisted on at least that much, at the bare minimum, would be how his "Salute to America,” was to be. He has been adamant, say insiders, that he would deliver on his promise to “Make the 4th of July Great Again!”
And now we can tell you this, about those tanks. At least one will be parked in front of the Lincoln Memorial, and according to our anonymous White House source, Trump insists on jumping in, and, this is a direct quote from the President himself, “driving it a few feet”.
Can you picture it? Will it actually happen? At least two senior White House staffers insist it will. “There is no dissuading him on this,” as one puts it.
We will all have to wait and see, but given Trump’s unquenchable ardor for turning the spotlight on himself, I say, you can put it in the bank.
