Senator Amanda Chase said Rape Victims are "Naive and Unprepared"

This is too far. 

My opponent is blaming sexual assault survivors for being “naïve and unprepared” as the cause of their rape because they weren’t carrying a gun.

 

This is not someone who is equipped to serve the people of the 11th District and we must do everything we can to ensure she is not re-elected.

As someone who works in advocacy, I know we can prevent sexual assault by funding primary prevention and ending rape culture. Victim-blaming and shaming contribute to rape culture and harm survivors. Virginians deserve better.

  

We need everyone to know what we are facing right now. This extremist cannot be legislating any longer in Virginia.

Let’s take a strong stand against this behavior.
