As far as I can tell, the only reporting on what questions are actually being printed is based on what the DOJ has said. I don’t think that’s adequate, as they have already been proven to have misrepresented both the reason for the citizenship question and the drop-dead date of June 30 for the printing to begin.
By relying on the DOJ’s representations, we assume that Wilbur Ross thinks following a court order supersedes any order he receives from President Trump. That doesn’t feel like a safe assumption to me.
We need one or more of the following to happen ASAP:
a) The plaintiffs in the Census citizenship cases subpoena the printers to get samples of the already printed census forms;
b) The House Oversight Committee calls the printers to testify about what is being printed;
c) The plaintiffs demand an order from the courts to the printers to the effect that no census forms may be printed containing a citizenship question
d) The media makes an effort to obtain confirmation from sources at the printer that the correct, no-citizenship forms are being printed.
