All of these sharpie Memes have been a great amusement, but it is mind-boggling to me that Trump would take this embarrassing and sadly ego-driven defense of his Alabama slip so far.
For all of his many many faults, he is a proven master of media manipulation, however, and couldn’t it be true that he was using it as a smokescreen to draw attention away from his serious breach of National and international intelligence protocols with the publication of the Iranian missile launch site photo? I’m also curious what you readers think of the text that he posted with that photo, which I haven’t seen much speculation on. Basically saying that we had nothing to do with it and he hopes they can find out who did — playground taunting them as if he knows who did, and it may just have been us, but we know that they won’t catch us – or maybe it was the Israelis with our internal support? Maybe a software glitch we planted?
Any way, the whole shameful spy cam story basically disappeared down the memory hole in the wake of Sharpiegate (interesting to have that word appear as a suggestion as I typed sharp!) Maybe someone -some Congress person perhaps? could request the official documentation of the declassification of that photo? Maybe an enterprising dem candidate could bring up the national security concern in the debate tonight? I’m sure the international intelligence community would like it to stay blown over, but they have not forgotten - just imagine the howls if Obama had done such a thing. Of course that could never happen with any normal president.
