Illinois Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger (IL CD-16) strongly rebuked Donald Trump for retweeting a remark saying impeachment would cause a Civil War like fracture.

I have visited nations ravaged by civil war. @realDonaldTrump I have never imagined such a quote to be repeated by a President.  This is beyond repugnant.

The message that was retweeted by Trump was originally from Pastor Robert Jeffress.

Let’s be clear. Donald Trump does not want civil war—it would threaten his real estate empire.

However, he is not above threatening violence or arrests for treason in order to silence his opponents and cower his “allies”.
