I’m glued to the TV Box watching the goings on in the Senate. So all you get today are impeachment related cartoons because I know you just can’t get enough impeachment related material.
I’m splitting my attention, listening to Sylvia Garcia (and now Jason Crow) speaking in the Senate chamber as I’m putting the finishing touches on this edition of Evening Shade. Watching the House managers lay out the timeline, tRumpian misstep by tRumpian misstep is acutely damning to anyone who is bothering to listen. The presentations so far (Schiff, Nadler, Garcia and Crow) are sober, articulate and powerful. Another twenty hours of this and tRump should have fully melted down into a puddle of noisome flop sweat. He won’t, of course. His narcissism protects him from the truth. It does not protect republican senators who are staring right into the twin barrels of history’s legacy shotgun. If, or more likely when they vote to acquit, they will put themselves in the group with Robert Hanssen, Aldrich Ames and Donald John tRump.
