As I write this 211,988 Americans have died from CoVid-19. That number represents a number greater than all the American suckers and losers who died in World War I, The Korean War and the Vietnam War combined. The American dead of those three wars which lasted 25 years was 211,241(combat and noncombat deaths). Trump's catastrophic mishandling of the CoVid-19 pandemic has caused us to pass that death toll in nine months.
My reference for the death toll in this pandemic is www.worldometers.info/… The death count provided by worldmeters tends to be a little ahead of other organizations. I’ve been following it since the early days of the pandemic and have found the information supplied by states in attached footnotes credible. If you are following other organization’s death tolls, keep in mind the 211,241 dead from those three wars. In that case the death toll from this pandemic will exceed the number posted by other organizations in a few days.
The American dead in the three wars cited comes from United States military casualties of war in Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/… The deaths from all American wars - from the Revolution to Afghanistan - exceeds 1.35 million. Trump’s unstated herd immunity strategy will cause the CoVid-19 pandemic to pass that number many times over.
At this time the CoVid-19 death toll is the fourth most deadly event in American history. It’s behind the 1918 pandemic with an estimated death toll of 675,000; the Civil War with an estimated death toll of 655,000 and World War II with a death toll of 405,399.
