Today, Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation hearings began in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Republicans are hell bent on doing everything imaginable—even vowing to vote in a “moon suit”—to place her on the Supreme Court bench as soon as possible.
One way to push back against this corrupt confirmation process is by volunteering to get out the vote. Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s last request was that she not be replaced until a new president is installed. If we can stall or block Barrett’s confirmation and kick Trump out of the White House, we can honor Justice Ginsburg’s memory and most fervent wish.
In order to do that, though, we need to encourage as many people as possible to vote. Thankfully, our friends at Vote Forward have devised a simple and fun program to reach infrequent, but strongly Democratic, voters in swing states: letter-writing!

It’s quick and easy to sign up to write letters with Vote Forward. You just need to register for an account, wait to be approved, and then print and write your letters.
The big Vote Forward send date is this Saturday, October 17, so please sign up right now to make sure you’re approved and have enough time to write your adopted voters.
I’ve been having a great time writing letters with my friends and family. We host virtual letter-writing parties and share why we’re voting this year. I’ve always said that I’m voting to protect the integrity of the Supreme Court. Now, I say that I’m doing it for Justice Ginsburg, too.
The Daily Kos community alone has adopted over 2 million voters. Will you join us and help us reach Vote Forward’s goal of sending 15 million letters on October 17?
