As Daily Kos covered, White House senior advisor and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner appeared on Fox & Friends on Fox News on Monday morning. Kushner has made his TV appearances a pretty regular occurrence, especially when it comes to stepping up in defense of the Trump administration’s horrendous response to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
On Monday, Kushner decided to put his neck out on behalf of his father-in-law when it comes to Black voters. Given that he appeared on Fox News to do this, it’s probably no surprise—though still absolutely horrifying—that he suggested Black Americans need to “want to be successful” if they want Trump’s policies to help them. And people on Twitter are happy to point out the many, many things wrong with Kushner’s statement. Let’s check out the video and excellent replies below.
