Trump is 74 years old , morbidly obese and now in the hostipal where he has taken a large doses of an experimental drug and is already on remdesivir.
In Trump's age group, CDC data shows that about 64.7 percent of Covid-19 patients with underlying health conditions have required hospitalization, and 31.7 percent have died.
If this was reverse and Biden was in the hospital now for Covid , You damn well know that Trump , Republicans and Fox News would be SCREAMING for Biden to drop out of the race as he is unfit for Presidency.
If Trump does come out of this quickly ,Trump will gain sympathy from the public then the right wing spin will be how strong Trump .
Also if Democrats start the message that Trump should withdraw from race now if the 25th Amendment is invoked in some time in the near future the message can change to TRUMP MUST RESIGN NOW.
Case in Point: Ronald Reagan was veryunpopular in the early part of his administration as his economic ideas did not bring US out of recession but when Reagan was shot and bounced back shrugging off the assassination attempt with humor , this is fulcrum event that reset his Presidency and made Reagan’s popularity rebound and lead him to electoral landside.
Democrats need to get ahead of this by DEMANDING TRUMP WITHDRAW FROM THE RACE.

I posted this diary when it was reported that Trump first got covid . I was mocked for the suggestion that Democrats should call for him to withdraw. As you can see I predicted that Trump would come out quickly and right wing would immediately spin how strong Trump is. If they had called for his withdrawal then this question would have been in the media the past few days .. and Trump coming out of hospital would have continued the discussion of Trump withdrawing .. Instead Trump continues to dictate the news . A missed opportunity for Dems .
