It was obvious to me that this walk was completely staged by the president for public consumption; well dressed, hair properly groomed, not bad for a man sick with COVID-19. It wasn’t necessary for him to go to the hospital this way. I doubt if he even needed to be at Walter Reed, given the excellent medical facilities at the White House.
Something that stood out as I watched this video of Trump walking from the White House to the helicopter were two hand motions that the president made, one at the .24 mark in the video where he tapped his right leg with his right hand, and the other at the .32 mark where he tapped the railing of the stairs into the helicopter. This is the type of inadvertent motion one would make while experiencing a deep sense of resignation and sadness; the end. I believe Trump is certain at this point that he is not coming back to his life at the White House. This virus is deadly serious.
It’s a struggle to whip up sympathy for Trump, given what an ass he was to others who did not deserve that kind of treatment. There were so many other options for you to choose from, Donald.
