The Trump/COVID song to the tune of the Sounds of Silence:
Hello Karma my old friend;
Time to talk with Trump again;
Maskless room of people snee-ezing;
Left him barely brea-ething;
And the nurses he has shamed;
Whisper "Herman Cain"
As they wait, for the sound of silence
The chance to control it he had blown
Saying it’s only the flu you know
'Neath the bubble of the FOX news camp
He showed docs and scientists the off ramp
Claiming all we needed was UV light
And bleach IVs at night
As we wait for the sound of silence
At every rally that I saw
Throngs of stupid people, maybe more
People screaming with the virus peaking
People jeering with their droplets glistening
People citing, wrongs that were not even there
But no one cared
When will this clown, be silenced
"Fools," they are, don’t you know
The virus like a cancer grows
Caring words that might teach you
Trying charms that might reach you."
But I was thinking, what the Hell
Cause nothing’ll sell, but Trump’s silence
And the Trumpsters bowed and prayed
To the fake tan that always fades
And the doctors screamed their warning
That an ICU line was forming
But Trump said, "Big Pharma’s profits
And playing sports like football
Are way more im-portant after all.”
As we cheer the sounds of silence
