I’m just connecting the dots here.
The drumbeat of Republican Senators and senior staff announcing that they’re testing positive has stopped… it was just one minor aide last night. Press briefings on Typhoid Rump’s condition are so full of shit about everything — his condition, the timing of his diagnosis, what he’s doing — that even MSM reporters can suss it out, without a lot of effort. (I’ve actually come to suspect that the doctors are spinning a rosy tone to obey orders but really trying to signal the truth to the world by naming the drugs they’re using.)
The White House refuses CDC help with contact-tracing from the Rose Garden Massacre. Mitch McConnell, who refuses to reveal the results of his own testing, has sent out marching orders for Republican Senators to be present and healthy on Oct. 19 to confirm Amy Coney Barrett. Would it be surprising if he also sent out a more quiet order — “if you test positive, shush!” — ?
And now, per CNN live updates:
Attorney General Barr has received four negative Covid-19 tests since Friday and will self-quarantine "for now"
Attorney General William Barr will self-quarantine "for now" but is expected to return to work this week, according to a Justice Department spokesperson.
...despite having been provably in contact with someone who tested positive:
...meaning he should quarantine for two weeks, not two or three days. And do you trust him, that his tests were negative?
CNN live updates again:
White House press secretary won't give number of West Wing positive cases
After White House Director of Strategic Communication Alyssa Farah said earlier today that the White House would be releasing numbers of West Wing staffers who have tested positive for coronavirus, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said they would not, citing privacy concerns.
She also would not answer when repeatedly pressed whether Trump was tested before the presidential debate or on Wednesday, saying she wouldn't give a "time stamped" readout of his testing schedule.
McEnany only said that he first tested positive on Thursday after he had returned from Bedminster, New Jersey.
McEnany then abruptly ended the briefing and would not answer questions on the President's motorcade trip outside Walter Reed medical center.
Reversal quick enough to give you whiplash there, eh? So now they’re not just covering up when Typhoid Rump really first tested positive, but how many and who in the White House have.
The plan seems clear: try to control the damage to the campaign and to the prospects of Barrett being confirmed prior to the election by pretending the Republican political elite outbreak isn’t as bad as it is. That’s probably why the WH hasn’t become any more careful about Covid precautions — to go on merrily pretending things are just fine.
And damn the safety of anyone who is forced to work around this cabal of sociopathic, diseased, virus-spewing criminals. Secret Service, body aides, Air Force One & Marine One crews, cleaning staff, food staff, etc. etc. ...too bad, suckers and losers. Damn the national security implications. Damn the Democratic congresspeople and aides, who the sick GOPers probably want to infect... I wouldn’t put it past T Rump on dexamethazone to encourage that. I wouldn’t put it past him not on dexamethazone. We don’t know he wasn’t trying to do it himself to Biden at the debate. We already know he’s a murderer.
I am usually not at all a cynical type, but at this point I assume the most evil/negligent possibility for anything we don’t know as a matter of course, because that’s who these people are from T Rump on down.
It’s going to be interesting to see who quietly disappears from view, going forward. Until the whole pulsating rotten mass of them disappears for good in November.

Another CNN live update:
White House sends first email about coronavirus since Trump tested positive
The White House Management Office just sent its first staff-wide email since President Trump tested positive for coronavirus early Friday morning.
Until now, staffers had gotten no word about whether to come into work or to remain home given several of their colleagues tested positive for coronavirus.
[...]
"As a reminder, if you are experiencing any symptoms such as sore throat, cough, fever, headache, new loss of taste or small, muscle aches, chills, diarrhea, or difficulty breathing, please stay home and do not come to work until you are free of symptoms," the email, viewed by CNN, read.
[...]
"Staff should not go to the White House Medical Unit clinic for any Covid-19 testing inquiries," the email read.
[...]
The email instructed staff to go home if they develop symptoms and contact their primary care provider about getting tested.
Unfucking believable.
