Sorry — can’t post a screenshot of the tweet for non-Twitter folks as I’m not on my regular machine.
Here’s the text:
After testing negatively consistently, including every day since Thursday, I tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday morning while experiencing no symptoms. No reporters, producers, or members of the press are listed as close contacts by the White House Medical Unit. Moreover, I definitely had no knowledge of Hope Hicks’ diagnosis prior to holding a White House press briefing on Thursday. As an essential worker, I have worked diligently to provide needed information to the American People at this time. With my recent positive test, I will begin the quarantine process and will continue working on behalf of the American people remotely.
- White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany.
The only thing in it that I believe is that she tested positive.
I’m not alone, it turns out:
Indeed she was:
Also she did this:
Rose Garden Massacre official count as of now (28). I’d add Bill Barr, possibly Mitch McConnell, and many others whose results are being covered up.
I think what we are seeing now is not the real drip, drip, drip of positive tests in the GOP upper echelons, but a partial and thus slower drip... drip... drip, because none of the scoundrels testing positive would be implausible and get them caught. The Press Sec can be replaced, temporarily or permanently. I’d bet a million on more GOP Senators having it, for instance.

Some staffers in the West Wing press area sent home to work remotely as a precaution
From CNN's Jim Acosta
Given the positive test results in the White House press office, staffers in both upper and lower press areas of West Wing are working remotely from home as a precaution, a White House official tells CNN.
Some essential workers are still at the White House, the official said.
In my story from yesterday I quoted White House instructions to staff saying if they have any symptoms they should stay home. How is anyone to tell whether a staffer is home due to this order, or because they have Covid?
