Mitch McConnell Should Not Be Shaping Our National Policy — Look At His Home State, Kentucky
If Mitch McConnell is shaping American policy anything like he has done in Kentucky, we are all in trouble. Kentucky ranks at the bottom of everything.
Kentucky Ranks at the Top of Federal Taxpayer Dependency
For all of the Republican yelling about people living on the federal taxpayer dollar, he has created a state that is entirely dependent upon our taxpayer money. He has created a taker mentality in Kentucky. The Blue states pay the most in federal taxpayer money and his Red state pays less in federal taxes than it takes. Kentucky is at the top of the taker list. Blue states have been subsidizing his poorly run state for decades. For every $1 Kentucky pays in taxes, it gets back $2.41 in federal taxpayer money. The whole reason why we have a budget deficit is because the federal government is paying out more than it takes in and Red states like Kentucky are the problem.

Kentucky Ranks at the Top of People on Permanent Disability
Kentucky ranks in the very top of the country (second highest in the nation) of people on permanent disability. In 2015, 1 in every 9 residents in Kentucky are on permanent disability which amounted to 11.2 percent of Kentucky citizens. Disability has become the new welfare and we are all paying federal taxes to allow Kentuckians claim disability.
Kentucky Ranks at the Top for Opioid Addiction
Kentucky ranks at the very top of the country in opioid addiction. Kentucky has an incredible amount of opioid prescriptions per 100 people, 79.5 prescriptions per 100 people, which is in the top 3 nationally and they are in the top 10 nationally for opioid overdoses.
Kentucky Ranks at the Bottom for Education
Kentucky ranks overall 45 our of 50 states for education. Kentucky ranks 47th in states for percentage of adults with college degrees. Kentucky ranks 47th among states for adults with associate degrees. The lack of education affects the kinds of jobs people can get, the income they earn, and whether businesses will set up in your state. Businesses want an educated population. Decades of Mitch McConnell have left Kentucky federally dependent, uneducated, and opioid addicted.
Kentucky Ranks at the Bottom of Skilled Workers
Kentucky businesses say that they cannot find enough skilled and trained workers in their own state. Kentucky estimates that there are over 115,000 available jobs in Kentucky that can’t be filled because Kentucky lacks a skilled and trained workforce. This also means that businesses don’t set up in Kentucky because they lack a skilled and trained workforce.
Decades of Mitch McConnell Running Kentucky Has Kept Kentucky at the Bottom
Decades of Mitch McConnell rule has produced a state more and more dependent on our taxpayer dollar. A state with people on disability, opioid addicted, uneducated, and unskilled. Why in the world would we want this person shaping our national policy? What he is really doing is ensuring a steady stream of federal money to prop up his state.
Republicans Need to Choose Someone With Proven Results
If Republicans keep the Senate, we need to demand that someone with proven positive results for his or her state be chosen as the leader of the Senate. Mitch McConnell must go or we will all end up like Kentucky. Decades of running on God, guns, and patriotism has done little good for Kentucky.
Time for change!
