Has anyone seen this? It’s been clear for a while that a lot of Trumpsters were living in an alternate reality, but findings like this seem to be hinting that mass delusion has taken hold in at least around 74 million people. This’d be darkly funny and even pathetic if it wasn’t held by tens of millions of very angry bitter-enders, but here we are. I know there’s been a lot of criticism of the polls but they weren’t that far off, and CNBC-Change Research has been at least reasonably accurate—and even with a wide margin of error, 3 percent of Trumpsters actually accepting the result (and 73 percent still openly calling the Trump the winner) tbh moves the dial from strange cult-like phenomenon to frightening implications for the country. Is this how civil war 2.0 starts? Down here in FL we’re having trouble wrapping our heads around this, but then again, the Trumpsters in our circle (some strained Thanksgiving get-togethers coming up) have been even more batshit than usual, so maybe there’s something to this. As much as the Rethugs may have hated Obama in ‘08 and ‘12, I never heard of anyone, not a single Republican, claiming that McCain or Romney was the actual president when the votes had been tallied. I know a lot of us have friends (or at least ex-friends) and family members in the MAGA caps—are you seeing something this extreme? How the hell can the USA even stay remotely governable with this shit swirling around in the minds of so many people?
