So interesting new scenario.
DOJ has issued guidance that they are allowed to send armed law enforcement officers to vote-counting locations anywhere in the country, theoretically to investigate alleged fraud.
This brings up the scenario that federal law enforcement officers (could be the same shock troops from Portland) could show up at a poll-counting location (say Pennsylvania), enter into the facility, and theoretically 'secure' the ballots and take them away for 'review'... At which point, they might conveniently get destroyed, or found by the Trump Administration to be 'fraudulent', regardless of their real status.
Does this mean that states should deploy National Guard around their counting facilities in order to protect the vote?
Stay tuned, this ain't over by a long shot.
