In his talk to campaign workers in Arlington Trump shows he is in deep denial about the election, and as usual brags about his accomplishments.
Watch Meadows change his expression as Trump speaks.
Does anybody know who the woman in red is? She can’t be a happy camper today. Her dear leader lost and she must know it, but now she is at risk of getting Covid.
I am trying to find out who she is. Note that Jared, and I think that’s Kayleigh McEnany next to him, were there without masks too.
Here’s a new nickname for him: Mark “I’m not going to talk through a mask” Meadows:
Everyone, even those wearing cloth masks, which as we know mostly protects others from you though the better ones offer you some protection. Anyone who came anywhere near Meadows here ought to be in quarantine.
Is anybody reading this actually sorry Mark Meadows tested positive for Covid? I can think of more “deserving” people but will settle for him for the present.
Here are excerpts from White House chief of staff Mark Meadows tests positive for coronavirus in The Washington Post (subscription).
- White House chief of staff Mark Meadows has tested positive for the coronavirus, and (emphasis adde) told others not to disclose his condition, according to an official with knowledge of the situation who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
- Meadows has fought with the doctors about the severity of the virus, argued about the effectiveness of masks and has repeatedly sought to move the president away from focusing on the virus, officials say.
- After the outbreak in Pence’s office, Meadows appeared on CNN to say the administration had effectively given up on trying to slow the virus’s spread.
- “We’re not going to control the pandemic,” Meadows said on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Oct. 25. “We are going to control the fact that we get vaccines, therapeutics and other mitigations.”
- Meadows has for months openly brushed off the importance of wearing masks during the pandemic.
- Ben Williamson, a Meadows spokesman, could not be reached for comment Friday night. An administration official said contact tracing around Meadows’s diagnosis has been conducted but offered no further details.
To paraphrase Mercutio (Romeo and Juliet , "A plague o' both your houses!"):
A pox on all their houses.
The poll: I know this will be difficult but it is a closed choice poll. Call it a Sophie’s choice poll. You have to pick one person. If it’s a tie flip a coin. I don’t want to add to the poll but now I see I left Dumb and Dumber (the Trump older two sons) off the list. If you choose them choose other and comment.
Breaking news: GOP Rep. MATT GAETZ tested positive.
My reaction to the news on my blog.
