Now that the last Sidney Powell’s “Kraken” lawsuits have been torn apart and made into a calamari dish …. and Giuliani/Ellis of the “Elite Strike Farce” team are in quarantine with COVID, I can laugh... and thankfully breathe a sigh of relief.
Hopefully Marc Elias will also get some rest! He has been working tirelessly to keep Democracy from dying, but not too tired to post this perfect pic:
🐙 Marc is also responsible for this outcome. 🐙
“Federal judges do not appoint the president in this country,” U.S. District Judge Pamela Pepper wrote in a 45-page ruling. “One wonders why the plaintiffs came to federal court and asked a federal judge to do so. After a week of sometimes odd and often harried litigation, the court is no closer to answering the ‘why.’ But this federal court has no authority or jurisdiction to grant the relief the remaining plaintiff seeks.”
The decision fell hours after a similar decision by a federal judge in Arizona, who found Powell’s claims of voter fraud entirely unsupported.
The “Last Kraken” ... oddly appropriate, being the mythical Kraken was slain in the end…
In other news…
There is still the Paxton case which was sent directly to SCOTUS, on which 17 states have signed support. It is real, it is ludicrous, and it shows that those who support tRUMP are more than likely oligarchs wanting more taxcuts or criminals wanting their pardons…
And here is Texas AG Ken Paxton, who himself has been indicted on felony securities fraud charges, bragging about trying to overturn an election and throw the election to tRUMP via SCOTUS and is actually daring to use the freaking conspiracy theory laden rag Epoch Times as his news source. The freaking State of Texas is suing Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin and taking it directly to SCOTUS. Ken Paxton signs as the - "Counsel of Record." Here is his “record”
The Michigan AG is not amused… as you can see in the attached video:
You need not worry about the result of the Texas lawsuit. It is as frivoulous as the rest. Mehdi Hasan breaks it down in this video as to why it is so absurd… and would should (It is still 2020 after all) not be taken up by the SCOTUS:
While you can be very hopeful that the tRUMP nominated SCOTUS will not hear Paxton’s case… HERE is what you need to worry about…
Nearly half of Trump supporters expect the president to be sworn in again on Jan. 20, according to a recent study by Bright Line Watch. An overwhelming majority of his supporters — as many as 85 percent of them — believe that the election was corrupted by “millions” of instances of malfeasance. The data suggest that Trump’s myth-making has hexed many Americans’ confidence in the system.
“The levels of fraud in which these respondents profess to believe are staggering,” wrote the authors of the poll, “and would require the complicity of thousands of local electoral officials and volunteers, including numerous Republicans and non-partisan participants.”
As we say goodbye to the Kraken… let us pay tribute to its passing with more memes and a poem

You might want to keep this list handy… of those state’s Republican attorneys general that were willing to support tRUMP and Texas in subverting the election:
Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah and West Virginia.
The 4 states will be responding shortly:
Pennsylvania… has filed their reply…. HERE TL&DR version: Sorry that we hurt your feefees Texas, but we have done you no harm and you are full of shit and tRUMP still lost. (It is long but worth the read!)
Michigan responds … The lawsuit in the U.S. Supreme Court was "unprecedented" and "without factual foundation." "The election in Michigan is over," they wrote. "Texas comes as a stranger to this matter and should not be heard here."
Wisconsin replied that the lawsuit is an “extraordinary intrusion into Wisconsin's and the other defendant States' elections, a task that the Constitution leaves to each State."
Georgia's AG, “Texas presses a generalized grievance that does not involve the sort of direct state-against-state controversy required for original jurisdiction.”
Thankfully… there may be sanctions in the future of the tRUMP lawyers who filed their awful and frivolous cases. Hundreds of Lawyers Call for Bar Condemnations of Trump Election Lawyers.
"“The conduct of Mr. Giuliani and his colleagues is a disgrace."
Twenty states and three territories file an Amicus brief:
The District of Columbia together with the States and territories of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware,Guam, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Washington (collectively, the “AmiciStates”)
Someone should have taught Gym Jordan life lessons long time ago… being he defied his University’s Duty to Report on reporting sexual harassment and misconduct.
But they didn’t, so now he is able to support another sexual predator in defiling the election process. All the assholes are HERE
Ari Berman has summed it up….
It's 37 days after election, all 50 states certified, 306 electoral votes confirmed for Biden, won by 7 million votes nationwide, Trump has lost 55 court cases, no evidence of fraud & yet he's still trying to overturn election results & 90% of GOP is complicit
106 House Republicans - more than half the caucus -support effort to nullify election results in WI/MI/PA/GA. This is insane & shows how many Republicans complicit in Trump's attempted coup.
Trump's attempted coup won't succeed, but Republicans are weaponizing his lies to massively turbocharge new voter suppression efforts. This is why it's so dangerous:
Georgia Republicans Are Using Fake Claims of Fraud to Make It Harder to Vote
GOP leaders who have rebutted Trump’s falsehoods are still using those claims for voter suppression.

I missed out on a continuation of a thread when I wrote this… and so glad that I saw it…. as it is remarkable. The last Kraken ruling in Wisconsin had some extra weird weirdness … besides the numerous spelling errors Powell seems to think everyone would pass as normal human error in a lawyer’s submission to the court.
Fun part of the ruling: Sidney Powell's team 'Kraken' appeared to have "made up" a "quote" in a legal brief, and the judge noted it because the fabricated quote was from her colleague in the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
The 'Kraken' crew wanted the Wisconsin federal judge to order the disclosure of 48 hours of surveillance footage from the TCF Center, a convention center that the ruling notes is in Detroit, Michigan.
The plaintiff wants Donald J. Trump to be certified as the winner of the Wisconsin election **as a result of the plaintiff’s vote.** But what he asks is for Donald J. Trump to be certified the winner **as a result of judicial fiat.**
Texas GOP responds to the 0-9 SCOTUS ruling on the Paxton case that 18 state AGs and “In total, some 136 senators and representatives who have explicitly endorsed Paxton’s lawsuit, argued for the appointment of a special counsel to bolster the idea that the election was tainted or who have in other ways expressed support for Trump’s undemocratic effort,” by talking about sedition and oddly, law & order…
And here are ‘Witty reactions to the Supreme Court Dismissal of trump's Hail Mary lawsuit’ from AKALib
