Breaking news: Donald J. Trump just lost his lawsuit in the Wisconsin State Supreme Court by a 4:3 vote.
In the lawsuit, the tRump forces insisted on eliminating the absentee ballots in both Dane (Madison) and Milwaukee Counties while allowing them to stand in the other counties; a request so ridiculous that the vote should have been unanimous against it. The Wisconsin State Kangaroo Court, instead of laughing at the suit, chose to spend most of Saturday hearing flimsy arguments.
From the latest article which was linked first in this post:
In the majority, conservative Justice Brian Hagedorn joined the court's three liberals to confirm Biden's win. They found one of Trump's arguments was without merit and the others were brought far too late.
...
The three other conservatives on the court dissented, writing they believed clerks violated the law with some election practices.
Baloney disguised as legal opinion. Votes in the counties tRump won would have been unaffected. This was tRumps second bite at Wisconsin’s State Supreme Court apple:
He challenged the results directly with the state Supreme Court, but the justices rejected it on a 4-3 vote early this month, telling him state law required him to start in a lower court.
Trump brought a new lawsuit and Reserve Judge Stephen Simanek ruled against him Friday. Trump appealed, the state Supreme Court held arguments Saturday and ruled against him Monday, allowing the state's 10 Electoral College to go to Biden.
It’s extremely telling that 3 of the 4 “conservative” judges on the State Supreme Court would back a ridiculous, discriminatory lawsuit brought by their dear leader, Der Furor the Sore Loser, to overturn what has been called “the most secure election”. It took one of them putting reality and legality before ideology to change what would have been a shameful outcome.
Had all 4 of them voted in favor, the 220,000 absentee ballots (including mine) in Dane and Milwaukee Counties would have been discarded and Donald J Trump would have been awarded Wisconsin’s s10 Electoral College votes.
We came sooooo close, far too close, to losing this one.
