The Hill, and Politico’s Heather Caygle, report New York’s Kathleen Rice (NY-04) has won a seat on the Committee on Energy and Commerce by a huge 46-13 vote.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi exacted revenge against one of her most outspoken detractors Tuesday night, blocking Rep. Kathleen Rice from landing a seat on the high-profile House Judiciary Committee.
Pelosi lobbied for other members to join the panel over Rice, leaving the third-term New York Democrat off a list of her preferred members for the committee during a tense closed-door meeting Tuesday night, according to sources.
which makes her selection for E&C a personal triumph. Rep. Rice currently sits on the House Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs committees. Also up for the C&E seat was Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Rice was among five Democrats to gain a slot on the exclusive committee, alongside Reps. Angie Craig (D-Minn.), Kim Schrier (D-Wash.), Lizzie Fletcher (D-Texas) and Lori Trahan (D-Mass.).
The Committee on Energy and Commerce is one of the oldest continuous standing committees in the House of Representatives.
