The Cobb County Board of Elections and Registration shot down an attempt by local Republicans, including the chair of Cobb’s Republican Party, to disenfranchise tens of thousands of voters.
The board’s attorney, Gregg Litchfield, stated that the lists provided in the complaints did not contain enough information to determine the status of the voters, and that removing the voters without going through hearings on each individual would violate the National Voter Registration Act.
The vote was 4-0.
