It is a story as old as time.
A member of Hungary’s Trumpian ruling party, both a top ally of the execrable Viktor Orbán and husband of a right-wing judge on Hungary’s Constitutional Court, was arrested in Brussels following complaints from neighbors about an orgy. Ironically it was not the orgy that drew consternation, but the violation of COVID-19 rules.
József Szájer—who was part of the team that re-wrote the Hungarian Constitution to ban gay marriage—tried to escape by sliding down a rain gutter when police raided the party. In the backpack he was carrying, police found XTC pills. Must have been a gezellig party.
Call it Ted Haggard or George Rekers Syndrome. Surely there must be a “law” for this all-too-common phenomenon. Perhaps Signorile’s Law?
The more fervently anti-gay a politician or religious leader is, the more likely that he or she craves gay sex.
Who is next? I’m looking at you Tucker Carlson, Franklin Graham and Rick Santorum.
Forgive my Schadenfreude.
