If you haven’t posted a story on Daily Kos this is what the writing page looks like.

Wordsmiths: Is is hock a loogie or hawk a loogie?
The phrase “a modest proposal” originated in the satirical essay written by Jonathan Swift titled A Modest Proposal For preventing the Children of Poor People From being a Burthen to Their Parents or Country, and For making them Beneficial to the Publick. It is commonly referred to as A Modest Proposal. The satire suggests that the impoverished Irish might ease their economic troubles by selling their children for rich people to eat.
It would ease my mind if I never saw picture of Donald J. Trump again. Do I really need to open Daily Kos and see his ugly face even if they’re on ads for worthy donations like these?
I say we should metaphorically masticate the photos and expectorate them into the closest spittoon, symbolically speaking of course.
Unlike the cannibalized Irish children, or Soylent Green from the film of the same name, which can be seen as an homage to A Modest Proposal (not original with me) these photos like Trump himself have no nutritional value whatsoever.
Do we really need to see his ugly visage illustrating every story about him?
How many times do we need to see one or another version of him hugging, or as some have suggested, humping, the flag at the CPAC conference. I even made an illustration for a diary I posted the other day with him hugging the flag in the foreground over a background of about 20 other versions of the photo.
All of these photos are so imbedded in my mind that all an editor or author has to do for me to see it in my mind would have to do is put a written description in the photo box: angry Trump, petulant Trump, smug Trump, smirking Trump, frowning Trump, grimacing Trump, Trump clenching his teeth, and of him posturing with various gestures like Trump with arms crossed, Trump pointing, Trump with clenched fists, Trump with hand on forehead, and so on… and on… and on. If you do a an Internet image search of any of these phrases, Trump angry for example, you will find a page of photos of a raging Trump.
I will make one exception to my no more photos suggestion. When we have the final photos of Trump as he reacts to the inauguration of Joe Biden and finally vacates the White House I want to see those. Not on the top of page one where Joe Biden and Kamala Harris belong, but in a box half the size below the fold.
As much as I want to see the Trump version of Nixon leaving the White House on a helicopter for the last time, I am pretty sure he will manage to sneak away before Inauguration Day to avoid this. I think he may figure out a way to hold a totally delusional self-inauguration.
