538 is tracking the Georgia Senate runoff polls, and it couldn’t be closer. After the latest polls, their model shows Republican David Perdue up by 0.5%, 48.2-47.7, against Democrat Jon Ossoff. In the other race, they have Democrat Raphael Warnock up by 0.6%, 48.2-47.6, against Republican Kelly Loeffler. Whether you want to call it statistically-tied, a toss-up, a coin flip, a dead heat or a fifty-fifty — it’s going down to the wire. Fortunately, we don’t have to just wait until the evening of January 5, but we can move the needle ourselves, right now:
Phonebanking is an extremely effective way to engage voters, and it can be done from anywhere. Both campaigns and the Georgia Democratic Party offer multiple opportunities. They share information with each other, so the coordinated campaign will retain the information from your calls and it can be used to contact voters again or to cross them from the contact list to save other volunteers’ time.
