Ian Robb is a folk musician who hails from England, but has made his home in Canada for some decades. In addition to singing old traditional songs, mostly of English origin, he writes his own songs from time to time, in the same style. This youtube of a new song, entitled “God and the Orange Clown,” came over my transom a week ago. It seems to be aimed at American Christians, chastising them for their fealty to the orange clown, in the context of climate change. Of course, white Evangelicals comprise a large portion of his target, and they are unreachable. In any case, if you have a taste for English folksong, you might enjoy it. Here’s the chorus:
And will you go to church to pray
Leaving your children to atone
This world you’ve left in disarray
It’s not God’s work, it is your own.
That’s all from me for tonight. Comments are below the fold, but first a word from our sponsors:

From your humble diarist:
In Aldous J Pennyfarthing’s recommended post on a former Ohio State University wrestler saying “It’s just going to get worse” for Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) in the evolving sexual abuse scandal, Vaugh postulates how Jordan’s involvement might be related to the absence of his suit jacket, and Another Mr Brown replies with the precise location.
