South Carolina primary is Saturday.
Voters for Super Tuesday will consider the results of the South Carolina primary in making their decision. Voters have to think strategically. If you vote for someone that doesn’t win 15% in your state, your vote doesn’t even count in the primary.
The effect won’t be so big for Pete and Bernie. They will keep going. They both have had strong showings so far.
And Bloomberg will keep going, since he still has $82 billion to blow.
...So that leaves Biden, Amy, Warren, Steyer.
Well I don’t really know what Steyer is doing in this race. Maybe he is not trying to win but trying to promote the issue of climate change. I guess since he has the money, he can go as long as it still amuses him.
But for Biden, Amy, and Warren… their results in SC will determine how voters perceive them on Super Tuesday.
If Biden doesn’t win strongly, it could effectively end his campaign.
If Amy doesn’t finish in top 3, is she really considered a competitive candidate? I like her but she doesn’t have much money/ organization. Is she really a plausible candidate to win it all? If not, why vote for her?
For Warren, she does have a national organization. But if she can’t put together a win or strong showing, is she really a strong candidate or is she just in Bernie’s shadow. People will look to South Carolina for this answer.
