Maybe we should have impeached the Coverup AG — and Trump errand-boy — first?
William Barr: A Failed Attorney General Unfit to Serve

Mueller himself sent a letter to Barr on March 27 protesting Barr’s characterization of the report and urging him to release the summaries contained in the report itself. Mueller said that releasing the summaries at that time “would alleviate the misunderstandings that have arisen and would answer congressional and public questions about the nature and outcome of our investigation.” Barr refused to release the summaries.
[...] Trump repeatedly told Zelenskyy to deal with Barr on a potential Ukrainian investigation of Biden, and in so doing, implicated Barr in a matter involving a gross abuse of presidential power. [...]
Barr should have formally and publicly recused himself from any discussions and decisions regarding the Department’s handling of any aspect of this matter, including the whistleblower complaint itself. Barr’s participation in or oversight of the Department’s handling of the complaint, at a minimum, “create[d] an appearance of a conflict of interest likely to affect the public perception of the integrity of the investigation or prosecution.” 28 C.F.R. § 45.2(b)(2).

On January 17, Democracy 21 filed a complaint with the Justice Department’s Office of Professional Responsibility and the Departmental Ethics Office that detailed Barr’s pattern of biased actions and his failure to comply with Justice Department norms, rules and standards of conduct. The complaint requested these offices to investigate and take appropriate action regarding Barr’s improprieties. NYC Bar Association urges Congress to investigate AG Bill Barr for partisanship
by Jacob Knutson, axios.com -- Jan 9, 2020
The New York City Bar Association sent a letter on Thursday urging Congress to investigate Attorney General Bill Barr for a "pattern of conduct" that it alleges "threatens public confidence in the fair and impartial administration of justice.”
[...]
- The letter cited a speech Barr made to the Federalist Society’s National Lawyers Convention in November, in which he claimed that "so-called progressives" were "engaged in a war to cripple by any means necessary a duly elected government."
- In the same speech, Barr claimed that conservatives “tend to have more scruple over their political tactics” and are more committed to the rule of law.
Trump’s Top guy at the DOJ just issued this new policy for the upcoming year …
by Katie Benner, NYTimes; MSN.com — Feb 6, 2020
The memo, which said the Justice Department had a duty to ensure that elections are “free from improper activity or influences,” was issued on the same day that President Trump was acquitted on charges that he had abused his office to push a foreign power to publicly announce investigations into his political rivals. The memo said that the F.B.I. and all other divisions under the department’s purview must get Mr. Barr’s approval before investigating any of the 2020 presidential candidates.
[...]
No investigation into a presidential or vice-presidential candidate — or their senior campaign staff or advisers — can begin without written notification to the Justice Department and the written approval of Mr. Barr.
The F.B.I. must also notify and consult with the relevant leaders at the department — like the heads of the criminal division, the national security division or a United States attorney’s office — before investigating Senate or House candidates or their campaigns, or opening an inquiry related to “illegal contributions, donations or expenditures by foreign nationals to a presidential or congressional campaign.”
Given Barr’s track-record for protecting all-things Trump — which “Investigation requests” this year, do you think he’s likely to approve, and which do you think Barr is certain to deny?
Well, let’s let his Boss give some insight into that answer:
According to the White House transcript of the Zelenskyy call, Trump said (emphases added):
“I would like to have the Attorney General call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it.”
“I will ask him [Giuliani] to call you along with the Attorney General.”
“There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great.”
“I will have Mr. Giuliani give you a call and I am also going to have Attorney General Barr call and we will get to the bottom of it.”
“I will tell Rudy and Attorney General Barr to call. . . .”

If wild-Bill didn’t recuse himself from the Whistle-blower case, after all the Trump name-dropping; If wild-Bill was willing to fly around the world to pressure foreign leaders to vouch-for Trump’s Ukraine conspiracy theory — the chances of him approving any LEO investigations into Trump, are about as likely as the chances that Barr will see the error of his ways — and Resign post-haste.

The 2016 October Surprise was Comey’s last minute letter, stating he was re-opening the Investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails.
I dread to think of what last-minute Investigation Bill Barr will sign-off on, based upon the dire warnings of “irrefutable” sources like Rudy Giuliani, Roger Stone, Brad Parscale, and Donald J. Trump* himself.
...
The 2020 October Surprise:
“I will tell Rudy and Attorney General Barr to call … and we will get to the bottom of it.”
