Not surprisingly, Senator Romney has faced intense attacks since his vote to buck his party and vote to impeach the president. Whatever else we may disagree with Mitt Romney about, he deserves our thanks, appreciation and support for his vote. He is being called a traitor and facing calls for expulsion from the party. Trump will never forget and never forgive.
I wanted to let him know his vote made a difference. If you agree, take a moment to email him your appreciation.

Dear Senator Romney --
Thank you for the courage of your vote to impeach Donald Trump. I know how difficult it is to vote against party lines, especially against this president, who compiles lists of enemies and plots revenge against anyone who doesn't support him.
I write you not as a Republican or a Democrat but as an American who is frightened at how quickly this president has destroyed the institutions of our democracy and how fragile these institutions are.
Your vote was especially courageous because you voted your conscience despite the knowledge that one vote would not change the outcome. You could have remained silent and complicit, as every other Republican Senator did. That you spoke knowing the backlash from your party and this president would be intense speaks volumes.
What frightened me most at the State of the Union was watching the sycophantic applause demanded of the GOP members there, after every sentence. The cultish devotion and the fear of any dissent is truly frightening. It makes your vote to impeach all the more exceptional.
You have already faced vicious attacks, been called a traitor and faced threats. These attacks will no doubt continue so long as this man is in office. Please don't let these attacks make you rue the vote you took when it would have been easier to remain silent. Your vote mattered. It was right. It made a difference. It will not be forgotten. History will prove you right.
Thank you Senator Romney.
